I've tried to spend the day reading the wonderful tutorials at W3Schools.com, which I have always found to be a terrific resource. I actually decided to start by reading the HTML tutorial, which is almost laughable considering I've been coding HTML for ten years! Still, somewhat surprisingly, I actually learnt something useful.
More importantly, I started to learn about XHTML, and how it will gradually replace HTML. It's very confusing with W3C recommendations coming out regularly, and with the proposed HTML5 it's just a matter of time before we either a) have to recode everything, or b) enter into another browser war!

The journey begins...
Hi, my name is Kerry. I'm 26 years old and I live in New Zealand. And I'm on a quest to make my first million dollars, and build a great Internet company.
What's driving me to do this? Mostly to follow in the steps of people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Steve Wozniack and Paul Allen. All those major-players in the 1970's and 1980's who revolutionised the way personal computers work.
I'm not aiming to revolutionise anything in particular myself, but I do want to use some of the revolutionary tools that these software giants have created for us (such as HTML, ASP.NET, SQL and various other acronyms.)
This blog is going to detail some of the discoveries I'll make along the way, including the hurdles I'll have to face and hopefully some of the successes I will produce. It's not going to be an easy road, but I have a firm idea in my head, and I can't wait to bring it to reality.
Let the coding begin!
